2008...where will you travel?

  • Ca'Agostino is welcoming returning and new visitors in 2008.

Children and Dogs

Children and dogs are welcome

The Montefeltro is a highly natural area, Ca’ Agostino stands on a hill in the middle of steep fields and even steeper macchia forests. Even close to the house, children can observe animals and insects. The pond is home to a wealth of natural life: as well as frogs and toads. With some luck a praying mantis or a stag beetle can be found, here and slightly further away, the following can be found:

  • Deer, hare and porcupine
  • several species of birds
  • Impressive Castles
  • Motivating Museums
  • Adriatic Coast 1hr away with sandy beaches and natural parks
  • Rocky creeks with clear water in the Apennine - great for bathing
  • Charburning in Auro river valley

Local sights

Locally, you can accompany me to pick berries and fruits. Fruit cordials taste even better when you’ve just collected the ingredients yourself. Many edible wild plants grow in the surrounding coutryside, particularly in the spring. On these excursions, you can often spot deer or other wild animals. Or you might happen on some porcupine needle. My friendly Labrador-Lady Wilma will give us company for the walks near by.

Dogs

Your dog is very welcome and stays without charge at Ca’ Agostino. Animals are admitted in room Noblesse and Liberty. The outside area is enclosed, so your pet may stay in freedom without lesh. Wilma my Labrador is friendly with all other dogs and will be a nice company to your dog(s) – or just retire from less communicative animals.
