2008...where will you travel?

  • Ca'Agostino is welcoming returning and new visitors in 2008.

Nature

By Foot and Car

Follow any of the tracks here and you will discover a landscape untouched by mass tourism. Just a few steps in the constantly changing hills will be a feast for your eyes. The roads and tracks which leave directly from Ca’ Agostino are almost completely free of traffic and lead onto hills with breathtaking views, into shady woods or across farmland … .The highs of Apennines are ideal for walking-tours in warm summer days, several creeks are inviting to a bath in clear fresh water.

The Parks

A nature reserve (the “Parco Regionale di San Lorenzo in Cerquetobono”) is planned right on the doorstep of Ca’ Agostino. Here farming and nature work hand in hand as in bygone days. Only recently have some of the old houses become restored and reinhabited. The “Parco Naturale Regionale Sasso Simone e Simoncello” is easily accessible by car or public transport. Splendid walks and guided tours leave from Carpegna and Sestino and allow you to explore the rich flora and fauna of this great natural park. You can also come back from Carpegna on foot, a beautiful four-hour walk.
